OUR STORY

Dak & Bop is a local, independently owned restaurant and when
you visit our location, you will see Houston influences. Our owners were born and raised
in Alief, Texas and are life-long Houstonians.

Dak & Bop in Korean translates as Chicken & Rice. But as many of our customers and fans have come to realize, we are more than just chicken and rice! We are a Korean influenced concept that blends traditional and authentic ingredients with a modern twist and flare.

Our first location opened in 2014 in Houston’s Museum District. The menu featured the crispy double fried chicken with a menu that had a mix of Korean, Asian, and Mexican influences. In May of 2020, the location closed, but as our goal is to find another location with the original menu, we are excited to present to our fans with our 18th Street concept during the wait!

Dak & Bop 18th Street is the second concept
of the D&B brand and opened in January of 2020 to rave reviews. For the 18th Street location, we decided to change the approach to the menu and went with a Korean and Italian influenced menu. Diners will see that the 18th Street concept is a chef driven menu with an elevated gastropub feel. You will find traditional dishes with our unique spin on the ingredients and presentation. We also have fun with our cocktail menu and you can find a full bar at D&B 18th Street with TVs galore.
